RENTON BAGS BRACE AS KIDS WIN
A BRACE from striker Kris Renton helped City's under 18s to a 2-0 win over Watford at Colney.
Renton - who became the youngest ever Norwich City player when he made his debut for the first team at Leicester last season - scored his first on 24 minutes.
The 17-year-old struck a shot high into the net after good work from Luke Daley on the wing.
HIs second came 15 minutes from time, with Daley again creating the opportunity down the right. His low cross was missed by the visitors' defence, allowing Renton to smash the ball past Watford 'keeper Jonathon North.
City were good value for the win, with Damon Lathrope and Daley close to adding to the Canaries' tally.
It was not all one way traffic however, and 'keeper Declan Rudd had to be sharp to make a save from Billy Gibson with the score still 1-0.
Norwich City U18s: Rudd, Matthews, Habergham, Lathrope, McLean, D Kelly, Daley, R Kelly (Stephens 80), Renton, Smith (Adeyemi 88), Yong.
