CITY KIDS LOSE AT PALACE
CITY'S under 18 captain Paul McLean suffered what looked to be a nasty knee injury as the young Canaries sank to a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace at the weekend.
But it was a game Norwich will feel they should have taken something from, with the Eagles conjouring an equaliser while the Scottish defender was on the sidelines receiving treatment before going on to grab a second in first half stoppage time.
The Canaries had opened the scoring on 10 minutes, when David Cooper raced clear down the right flank to send in a cross which Jordan Yong met at the far post.
Yong almost grabbed a second after latching onto a througball, but on 25 minutes and with the Canaries down to 10 men because of McLean's injury, the home side equalised, with Miller turning into his own net from close range.
Goalkeeper Steven Arnold was enjoying a bright game and produced several smart saves to keep the scoreline level, but he could do nothing about Palace's winner, with Sean Scannell slotting home after being put in the clear.
