CFTC TAKE TO THE ROAD
N&N Hospital Visit
During November 2006, two young NCFC players visited the Children's Ward and The Jack Pryor Renal Unit at at the N&N Hospital. Striker, Chris Martin and midfielder Ross Kelly spent time with seven children on Buxton Ward signing autographs, handing out stickers and matchday programmes while watching highlights with the children from City's matches against Colchester United and Sunderland.

Canaries for the Community is a community initiative from Norwich City Football Club, supported by Norwich Union. Each year community work will be undertaken involving NCFC fans helping at a non-league East Anglian football club and assisting in a local area of need.
The second CFTC project of the summer took place on Saturday, July 8 at Great Yarmouth FC where volunteers painted two changing rooms, physio room, toilets and the corridor under the main stand. With the Wellesley Stand being a listed building and apparently the oldest football stand in the world, much of the painting was on wood panelling which made the application of satin finish paint a much slower job than other football projects which CFTC have undertaken. However everyone worked very hard and we succeeded in finishing all the rooms and corridor used by the home team.
At lunchtime we were joined by Academy Manager, Ricky Martin and four youth team players which was really helpful for getting the job finished and a boost for the volunteer NCFC fans.Please help with this year's projects.

ACADEMY SCHOLARS' HOSPITAL VISIT
Academy scholars Matthew Halliday and Andrew Cave-Brown were recently joined by Youth Development Officer Colin Watts for the latest Canaries for the Community hospital visit.
Led by scheme volunteer Duncan MacInnes, the group visited the Buxton Children's Ward and the Children's Day Ward followed by a visit to an adult patient in the Jack Pryor Renal Unit.
Hethersett Youth Centre
NORWICH City's 'Canaries for the Community' scheme continued its excellent work when a team of volunteers visited Hethersett Youth Centre in 2005.
The planned work was to paint the interior of the Centre and also paint the exterior and tidy up the grounds surrounding the building.
A team of Norwich City staff started the project on Friday by painting the kitchen and toilets. The following day, twenty City fans helped paint the main hall and improve the appearance outside.
Project Leader Duncan MacInnes was thrilled with the response given by the supporters and was delighted with the final result.
"There was a great atmosphere on both days amongst the volunteers and the project has been a huge success," he said.
Canaries for the Community has undertaken many other projects in the the region over the past 2 years. Last year it helped create a garden in the ruins of 12th Century St. Michael's Church and Thetford Town Football Club also benefitted from a redecoration.
Holt United Football Club
CANARY volunteers flew in to help out at Lovewell Blake Anglian Combination club Holt United.
The project undertaken by Canaries For The Community, involved 14 volunteers painted perimeter pitch railings, two changing rooms and the large extension to the clubhouse at Holt's Kelling Road ground.
City's Chief Executive Neil Doncaster presented Holt United Chairman Andy Turner with a special plaque to mark the occasion, and CFTC co-ordinator Duncan MacInnes said the project had been another success for the Norwich Union-backed scheme.
He told First News: "The atmosphere amongst the volunteers was really great and a few who had not been on a previous CFTC day said they would like to participate in future projects."
