CITY today confirmed a new policy regarding access to our Colney Training Centre for supporters wishing to watch training sessions.

New Manager Glenn Roeder has said supporters will be welcome to watch training on any day apart from the day before a match. This means there will be no access to the public on the Friday before a Saturday game, or the Monday before a Tuesday evening match and so on.

City's Head of Media Joe Ferrari welcomed the change, but added the policy would remain under review in the weeks and months ahead.

He told First News: "We unfortunately had to restrict access to watch training sessions after our previous Manager Peter Grant felt strong concerns about sensitive selection and injury news leaking on to various websites and then into other media in the build-up to games.

"We appreciate that the vast majority of those who like to visit Colney have not been responsible for any passing on of sensitive information, but a few unfortunately have  - and as a result although we have once again relaxed our policy, we will continue to monitor the situation.

"We are an open and friendly club and we like to offer our fans as much access as possible. We very much hope this new arrangement will be welcomed by the fans while still offering an appropriate degree of privacy to Glenn and the squad in their final preparations for games."
