HENRY RETURNS TO READING
WINGER James Henry has returned to Reading after his loan spell with the Canaries was cut short.
The 18-year-old made just one start and two substitute appearances for City after joining on loan on January 31.
He was set to remain at Carrow Road until April 28, but both clubs and player have now agreed to end the agreement early.
Norwich boss Glenn Roeder believed ending the deal early was in the best interests of player and club alike.
"I spoke to Nick Hammond, the Director of Football at Reading, last week and he was concerned James wasn't getting involved as much as he would like him to be and that it was best if he went back to Reading.
"I'd like to place on record my thoughts that although he didn't break into the first team as much as would have been ideal during his time here, he was always a pleasure to work with and he's a very talented player.
"I'm sure he will go on to be an excellent player for Reading in the future."
Henry arrived at Carrow Road on transfer deadline day in January alongside Arsenal teenager Kieran Gibbs and fellow Reading team-mate Alex Pearce.
An England Under 19 international, Henry had limited chances to impress in the City first team, with the good form of Lee Croft largely responsible for blocking his route into the side.
Henry returns to the Madejski Stadium fresh from signing a new contract with the Royals, tying him to the club until 2010.
