PENALTIES DECIDE FLYBE CUP
THE FLYBE Community Cup ended in dramatic style at Carrow Road yesterday after a tightly contested 1-1 draw in the final between Blofield Primary School and Sheringham Primary School was followed by a penalty shootout. Blofield Primary went on to win the cup.
The tournament, in association with Flybe, the Eastern Daily Press and Norwich City Football Club saw sixteen lucky teams take part in the six-a-side tournament, and Ian Taylor, Flybe's General Manager Market Development said it had been a great event.
"This is a illustration of how we as a sponsor at Flybe and Norwich City Football Club can really make a dream come true for many of these youngsters here today. It's a real credit to both the Club and ourselves that we have jointly organised such a great day.
"When we first became involved with the Club we knew that Norwich City had a great reputation and a great desire to work within the community and that was one of the first things that attracted us."

Ian Taylor explained how much it meant to the low cost airline to be a part of the tournament.
"It is events like this that actually are very meaningful and a clear demonstration of the role that Norwich City Football Club and its sponsor, today it's Flybe, plays in the community of Norwich and Norfolk," he said.
"It's great fun to be involved in an event where you have 128 smiling faces, 128 kids who have had a great day out who are now meeting their heroes with Adam Drury and lee Croft coming down and getting their autographs. It's something that is very nice to be involved in."
