NEW DEALS FOR TRIO?
GLENN Roeder hopes to tie up the outstanding contract renewals as soon as possible, as he looks to shape his new Norwich City side for the 2008-09 campaign.
The contracts of City Captain Mark Fotheringham, central defender Gary Doherty and Academy product Robert Eagle, all expire at the end of this season, but it would seem all three are firmly in the manager's thinking for next season.
Talking about Doherty and Fotheringham, Roeder said he hoped to have their futures secured shortly. "We are in talks with both and I'm confident that both lads will sign new contracts. They are certainly telling me they want to, which is always an important factor and they are two players that I see as being part of a successful squad next season," he said.
Meanwhile the City boss said midfielder Robert Eagle was close to signing a new deal with the Club: "It's been agreed and I hope it will be signed within the next few days."
