CANARIES AGREE GORLESTON FRIENDLY
THE Yellows will take on the Greens and Glenn will pit his wits against Glenn when City travel to play Gorleston in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday, July 16 (kick-off 7.45pm).
Glenn Roeder will take his Canaries to Emerald Park as part of the Ridgeons League Division One Club's 125th anniversary celebrations.
The Greens missed out on promotion to the Ridgeons League Premier Division by just four points and reached the League Cup Final last season - and their manager Glenn Haylett is delighted to be welcoming a Norwich City side as part of his preparations for the next campaign.
"Obviously we're very pleased and would like to say thank you to Glenn Roeder and Norwich City for agreeing to this fixture. Glenn has agreed to bring his strongest possible side so it should be a great evening for our supporters and good experience for the team," Haylett told canaries.co.uk.
The news follows confirmation of another friendly against Ridgeons League Premier Division side Dereham Town at Aldiss Park on Friday, July 25th (kick-off 7.30pm).
A Norwich City Xl managed by First Team Coach Paul Stephenson will take on a Magpies side which this season has featured former Canary Cedric Anselin and former City Academy players Adam Gusterson (capt), Olly Willis and Nicky Howells.
