A product of the Canaries youth Academy, Shackell finally secured his place as a regular part of City's defence last season. A centre-back with a towering presence and loud voice, the 24-year-old added goalscoring to his list of skills during the latter part of last season as he popped up with a couple of important goals from set-plays. Naturally left-footed, Shackell gives the Canaries back line a balanced feel to it when selected.
