DARREN Huckerby and Lee Croft were on hand this week to dish out the prizes at the presentation ceremony for the Study Centre's newest project "Double Club".

Double Club, which has been running in Sprowston High School, Larkman Primary School and Valley Primary School, is an opportunity for children to combine football and learning, with activities in both the classroom and sports pitch on offer each week.

Paul Wickens, Double Club Tutor commented on the course: "Double Club works by utilising the excitement of football and bringing it into the classroom. The children have worked extremely hard this term on items such as writing match reports and using maths to measure the pitch as well as perfecting their football skills. They fully deserve the awards given to them by Darren Huckerby and Lee Croft".

The Double Club model originated at Arsenal Football Club and now involves programmes at 14 clubs nationally.
