YELLOW AND GREENER
ENERGY
- All our electricity needs are provided by Npower from renewable energy sources such as wind farms. As a result electricity used at Carrow Road is carbon free and environmentally friendly.
- 725,000 people visit the stadium each year with a consumption of 4.24KW of electricity per head. NCFC pledges to reduce electricity consumption per head by 10% in 2007-08.
- Over 1,000,000 hand towels were used by supporters at Carrow Road last season.
- NCFC pledges to introduce hand driers to all concourse areas for 2007-08 and remove hand towels in these areas.
RESOURCES
- NCFC sent 3,000 wheelie bins to landfill last year.
- NCFC pledges to reduce this by at least 15% in 2007-08 through greater recycling opportunities for staff and supporters.
- NCFC print over 200,000 matchday programmes each season
- NCFC pledges to use paper sourced from renewable sources for all its matchday programmes next season and for all Club marketing print requirements.
- NCFC supporters take home over 150,000 bags from the Canary Stores each year.
- NCFC pledges to introduce a Bag for Life available in both its Canary Stores for 2007-08.
- Over 40,000 swing tags are used on retail clothing in each year. NCFC pledges to print all Club branded swing tags on recycled paper in 2007-08.
- NCFC recycled over 1,000 phones in 2006-07 through its Recycle Your Mobile for the Academy Appeal. NCFC pledge to increase this number to at least 1500 in 2007-08 and recycle ink cartridges and unused CD's.
- NCFC pledge to introduce a branded Yellow and Greener range of merchandise in our Canary Stores using both recycled materials and products sourced from Fair Trade Suppliers.
TRANSPORT
- Over 65% of season ticket holders live more than a 30-minute drive time from Carrow Road. NCFC pledges to introduce and promote a variety of transport schemes to reduce single car usage on matchdays to Carrow Road and its environs.
HEALTHY EATING
- Over 50,000 litres of carbonated drinks are consumed each year at Carrow Road. NCFC pledge to introduce healthy eating options for all supporters in each stand for 2007-08.
